What is a home inspection?
Buying a home is one of the most important purchases you will
make in a lifetime, so you should be sure that the home you
want to buy is in good condition. A home inspection is an evaluation
of a home's condition by a trained professional. During a home
inspection, a qualified inspector takes an in-depth and impartial
look at the property you plan to buy or sell. The inspector
will evaluate the physical condition: the structure, construction
and mechanical systems; identify items that should be repaired
or replaced; and estimate the remaining useful life of the
major systems (such as electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning),
equipment, structure and finishes.
What type of report do you provide?
We use HORIZON, a comprehensive, web-based reporting system
with detailed information in a simple, easy to understand
format. The report includes fantastic benefits like; color
photos, illustrations, and web links to relavant reference
materials. In addition to the above, each client receives
a 3-ring binder filled with a pre-settlement walk through
checklist, a small homeowner's manual and other pertinent
information helpful to the new homeowner. (Link to Sample

What will it cost?
The inspection fee will vary depending on a number of factors
such as the size of the house, its age, square footage and
optional services such as radon testing and a WDI (Wood-Destroying

Do I have to attend the inspection?
While it's not required that you be present for the inspection,
it is highly recommeneded and encouraged. You will be able
to observe the inspector and ask questions as you learn about
the condition of the home and how to maintain it.
